LITTLE ROOS (2 - 3 years)
LEADING NURSERY & DAYCARE IN WEST BELFAST
Here at Acrewood Daycare we offer Daycare for children aged 2 - 3 years old as well as children ages 3 - 5 years old in West Belfast. As children move on to their terrific twos stage, they will transition to Little Roos, a large, bright room with lots of space for utilising their energy in a range of fun and stimulating activities designed to promote learning across all areas of development.
Our curriculum planning is based upon the needs and interests of the children and is designed to support them to explore and develop new skills, supporting their creativity, language and communication, social and emotional development and fine and gross motor skills.
Independence in personal care and eating and drinking is encouraged and we offer a safe space for children to develop confidence and skills.
We are conscious that all children learn differently and our approach is tailored to your child’s individual needs, so that they feel comfortable and relaxed and ready to learn both formally through planned activities and informally through play and building relationships with their friends in the room.

As a service based within St. Joseph’s Centre for the Deaf, our mission is to create an inclusive, supportive learning environment where all children can learn and thrive including those with developmental delay or additional needs.
Our Belfast Childcare curriculum supports individual learning and support programmes for children based upon their unique needs and our staff have extensive experience supporting children with additional needs.
We also have bespoke resources and spaces designed specifically for children who might need additional support and thanks to funding from the Fair Play Programme we have additional staff support for children who need a little more support and encouragement.
WHERE ARE WE LOCATED IN BELFAST?
Acrewood Daycare is situated just adjacent to the Royal Victoria Hospital on the Grosvenor Road. We offer a wide range of Childcare Services to families in West Belfast and we get many hospital employees, such as nurses who leave their children in with us during the day. The location of Acrewood Daycare is strategic and extremely handy for them as it means that they can just drop their child off and then head into work across the road.

Spaces also Available for Deaf Children
Many people do not realise, but we also have spaces in our Nursery ( 0 -2 years) and within our Childcare & Daycare Services (2 years - 5 years) at Acrewood Daycare in Belfast for Babies & Children who are Deaf. Additionally, we can cater for children who have Additional Needs.
